Local SEO Guide: Get Your Business to the Top of Google Maps and Search
Most of your customers find you through "near me" searches. We lay out the concrete steps to reach the top of the map and search with Google Business Profile and local SEO.
When someone searches "web design Antalya" or "dentist near me" on their phone, Google first shows a map and a box of three businesses (the local pack). Landing in those three spots is often more valuable than ranking first in organic results, because that box captures most of the clicks. The good news: local SEO is less competitive and faster to move than national SEO.
Google Business Profile: basic but vital
- A complete, accurate profile: name, category, address, phone, hours, services and real photos — all filled in and consistent. Google rewards complete profiles.
- Regular, answered reviews: your star average and review count matter, and so do your replies. Asking every happy customer for a review is the single strongest local SEO move.
- NAP consistency: your name, address and phone (NAP) must be written identically on your site, social media and every directory. Inconsistency reduces Google's trust in you.
Local signals on your site
Alongside the profile, your website must support local intent too. City- and service-based pages (like "mobile app development Antalya"), an embedded map, local structured data (LocalBusiness schema) and a fast, mobile-friendly experience all tell Google "this business genuinely operates in this area." This project already has ProfessionalService schema and city data set up; the next step is producing local landing pages for each service.
To win local search you do not need to be the best in the country; being the most visible and trusted business in your neighborhood is enough.
